As our new Privacy Counsel, you will play a key role in ensuring that Boozt stands strong, compliant and well-positioned in an increasingly regulated environment.

The Privacy Counsel is a core member of Boozt’s Legal Team, reporting to the General Counsel. In this role, you will provide high-quality and timely legal support on privacy and data protection matters across the Boozt Group. Due to the natural overlap between privacy, consumer and marketing law, experience within these areas will be an advantage.

This role combines hands-on operational responsibility with strategic advisory work in a dynamic and fast-paced organisation.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Provide expert legal guidance on GDPR, local AI and data privacy laws and regulations. 

• In close collaboration with the Legal team, work independently across the organisation to integrate privacy objectives into business and product initiatives.

• Develop and mature Boozt Group’s privacy program, including maintaining the Register of Processing Activities (ROPA), updating privacy notices, and handling data subject requests.

• Conduct privacy risk assessments and embed privacy-by-design principles into product development and business processes.

• Draft, review and negotiate privacy, data protection, and AI-related contracts.

• Manage cookie consent software and advice on online advertising and tracking technologies.

• Lead data breach response, including regulatory notifications and data subject communications.

• Foster a culture of privacy awareness and deliver training across the organisation.

YOUR PROFILE

• Master’s degree in law from a recognized university.

• Minimum five years experience of working hands-on with privacy compliance.

• Strong knowledge of GDPR 

• Excellent communication skills in English and one Scandinavian language.

• High level of digital literacy, including experience with legal research tools and cookie tracking software.

• Business-minded and solutions-oriented with ability to translate complex law and regulation into practical guidance. 

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where circumstances of tasks may change quickly.

• Ability to work independently, escalate matters appropriately, and manage competing priorities.
